Latest company news about The production and sales of power batteries increase, the LiFePo4 batteries exceed the same period last year

On October, China automotive power battery industry innovation alliance released monthly data of power battery in September.

In September, China's power battery output totaled 8.6 GWH, up 12.7% year-on-year and 15.7% month on month. Among them, the output of ternary lithium battery was 4.8gwh, accounting for 55.2% of the total output, with a year-on-year increase of 0.7% and a month on month increase of 8.8%; the output of lithium iron phosphate battery was 3.8gwh, accounting for 44.6% of the total output, with a year-on-year increase of 34.0% and a month on month growth of 27.5%.

From January to September this year, China's power battery output accumulated 45.7gwh, a year-on-year decrease of 28.0%. Among them, the output of ternary lithium battery this year reached 27.2gwh, accounting for 59.5% of the total output, with a year-on-year decrease of 33.7%; the cumulative output of lithium iron phosphate battery reached 18.3gwh, accounting for 40.1% of the total output, with a cumulative decrease of 9.6% year-on-year.

In terms of sales volume, China's power battery sales totaled 6.9gwh in September, with a year-on-year increase of 18.6%. Among them, the sales volume of ternary lithium battery was 3.5gwh, with a year-on-year decrease of 17.5%, accounting for 50.4% of the total sales; the sales of lithium iron phosphate battery was 3.4gwh, with a year-on-year increase of 121.1%, accounting for 49.5% of the total sales.

From January to September this year, the cumulative sales volume of power batteries in China reached 38.6 GWH, a year-on-year decrease of 30.6%. Among them, the cumulative sales of ternary lithium batteries were 20.9gwh, a year-on-year decrease of 44.7%; the cumulative sales of lithium iron phosphate batteries were 17.5gwh, with a year-on-year increase of 3.1%.

It can be seen that with the recovery of the new energy vehicle market, the production and sales of power batteries are also rising rapidly, especially the lithium iron phosphate battery has a very rapid development momentum this year, and the total sales volume in the first nine months has exceeded the performance of the same period last year. In terms of the proportion of production and sales, LiFePO4 further shortens the distance between lithium iron phosphate and lithium ternary batteries.

In terms of loading volume, China's power battery loading volume reached 6.6 GWH in September, up 66.4% year-on-year and 28.3% month on month. Among them, ternary lithium batteries were loaded 4.2gwh, up 45.1% year-on-year and 20.0% month on month; lithium iron phosphate was loaded 2.3gwh, up 146.1% year-on-year and 49.2% month on month.

From January to September, China's cumulative load of power batteries reached 34.2gwh, a year-on-year decrease of 18.8%, further narrowing the decline. Among them, the loading amount of ternary lithium batteries reached 23.6 GWH, accounting for 69.0% of the total vehicle loading, with a year-on-year decrease of 18.7%; the cumulative loading volume of lithium iron phosphate battery reached 10.4 GWH, accounting for 30.0% of the total vehicle loading, with a year-on-year decrease of 13.3%. In terms of loading volume, ternary lithium batteries still have a high market share.

In terms of power battery system energy density, high energy density battery is still the dominant market. In September, 32.3% and 38.0% of China's pure electric passenger vehicles with system energy density of 140 (including) - 160wh / kg and 160wh / kg and above accounted for 32.3% and 38.0% respectively, which was basically the same as that in August. The output of vehicles below 125wh / kg accounted for 21.0%, an increase of 1 percentage point compared with August.
