At present, the main bottleneck in the development of new energy vehicles is the power battery. In addition to R & D and production, power batteries are facing new opportunities in vehicle end use, recycling and data platform. For example, in terms of vehicle end use, the business model of "vehicle electricity separation" is gradually taking shape. The separation of power battery and vehicle not only makes it possible to sell or rent separately, but also makes it possible to circulate assets. For another example, the frequent safety problems of power battery are related to the nonstandard use and untimely monitoring of electric vehicles, while the service points of maintenance and detection are few and the professionalism is not strong, which makes the maintenance of power battery difficult and the cost is not low.
Some people in the industry said that the ultimate goal of the layout of the power battery after market is to solve the worries about the use of new energy vehicles, promote their large-scale promotion, release more demand for power batteries and broader market demand, and finally form a "light storage charge inspection" micro grid to maximize the use of energy.

In fact, under the current development momentum of new energy vehicle industry, the construction of power battery aftermarket is growing. At present, under the background that the charging infrastructure of new energy vehicles is included in the concept of "new infrastructure", with the progress of charging equipment technology and the extension of charging service network, China's V2G demonstration project has accelerated the pace of construction. Since last year, Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei and other places have carried out a number of V2G demonstration projects, with V2G technology landing and economic exploration as the main demonstration contents. According to the research, according to the service life of new energy vehicles of 5-8 years (operating vehicles of 3-5 years), China will gradually enter the large-scale decommissioning stage of power batteries from 2020, and the cumulative decommissioning amount of power batteries will reach 90.5gwh from 2020 to 2022.
