1. Design requirements

This is a special customized lithium battery used in the petroleum exploration industry. Because it needs to work in the field for a long time, the battery needs high stability. When the equipment starts to work, it needs more than 3 hours of continuous power supply, and it may need to be stored for a long time. (Fully charged storage may vary from 1-6 months). The battery needs to maintain sufficient power for normal use when it is reused after storage. Working in the field requires a waterproof seal, and the battery may need to work underwater for a short time. It needs to be able to withstand certain collisions and not cause the battery to fail to work. Or the shell is broken and the seal fails.

2. Design plan

1) Protection board (PCM): Lithium batteries that need to be used in extreme working environments in the field need to be stored for a long time, so the battery can automatically enter sleep mode when it is not used for a long time. The BMS protection board will be in sleep mode. A very low self-consumption state, the battery can be stored for at least 1 year or more to ensure that the battery can work normally and stably in extreme environments. Due to the chemical characteristics of the lithium battery itself, it is necessary to provide intelligent power calculation, overcharge, Protection functions such as over-discharge, short-circuit, over-current and over-temperature. In order to avoid dangers such as burning and explosion.

2) IC: The main protection function chip of the design scheme, which performs on-line monitoring of overcharge, overdischarge, overcurrent, short circuit and other functions of the battery cell. Make the batteries work in a safe, stable and efficient range.

3) Sealing structure: The whole is sealed and waterproof, which can reach IP67 waterproof level, and it is fully competent for short-term underwater work.

4) Enhancing shell material: The use of environmentally friendly ABS+PC mixed materials makes the product shell more willful, strong and beautiful at the same time.

5) 18650 lithium battery cell: The combination of the international first-line brand of 18650 lithium battery cell, the consistency and stability of the battery cell, ensure the service life of the entire battery pack, but also stable current output.

6) Battery pack packaging: shock-proof and explosion-proof structure, fire-proof and anti-fall shell.
